Community Volunteer Services connects people who want to help with the nonprofits, parishes, schools, neighborhood groups, and community organizations that need them.
WHY WE BUILT IT
Finding a place to help should not be difficult
Volunteer opportunities are often scattered across organization websites, social posts, event calendars, and word of mouth. Community Volunteer Services brings those opportunities into one clear, searchable directory organized by city and cause.
We are beginning in Northeast Ohio, with dedicated pages for communities across the eight-county Catholic Diocese of Cleveland service area. The directory is free for people searching for opportunities and free for legitimate community organizations posting them.
Local first
City and neighborhood pages help residents find service close to home.
Reviewed listings
Community submissions are reviewed before they appear publicly.
Open to the community
Nonprofits, parishes, schools, civic groups, and local programs can participate.
HOW IT WORKS
A directory, not a gatekeeper
Organizations remain responsible for their programs, applications, screening, training, and volunteer relationships. Community Volunteer Services makes their opportunities easier to discover and sends interested people to the organization’s official signup process.
Built to grow with the region
The Northeast Ohio launch gives us a strong local foundation. As organizations contribute listings and residents use the directory, we can expand coverage without losing the community-first approach.
